Community service - Thames volunteers with children (w/ pics)

Thames Academy students and staff volunteered their time Thursday afternoon at a local non-profit organization working with children.

We donated bags of candy and mini-pumpkins and had 5 students and staff volunteer at the SafeFutures children's Halloween festival on Thursday afternoon. Thank you to Chris Scott and Jennifer Sullivan for their help in organizing this event!

SafeFutures is an organization located in New London, CT which serves residents in southeastern Connecticut. According to its mission, SafeFutures "saves lives, restores hope and changes he future for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault..." Thames Academy has partnered with this great organization for many events throughout the year. If your son/daughter enjoys community service, please encourage them to join us on our next volunteer trip!
