I really like this article from the New Jersey Patch.com because it reminds parents that it is ok to be sad after your son/daughter goes away to college. So often we try to feel happy and excited because we think that is how we "should" be feeling in front of our children. But embracing the sad feelings (for a little while) can be cathartic.
