2 Articles: Teenagers and Junk Food

Fascinating research has been done to study the effect of high fat diets on the inflammation of the brain of males and females. A study conducted by researchers at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center on male and female mice discovered that the brains of male rats were negatively affected by eating a diet high in fats (dairy and meat) while the same diet showed no significant impact on the brains of female rats. Researchers believe that the estrogen in female brains helps to protect the brain, and ultimately the body and health, of female rats.
